Oh, how even the silliest of conversations can grow to... well, something even sillier. Tidale waited at the park, pacing around, impatient with the "ape girl". He would sometimes pull

Here comes Nerine, late on the scene, obviously in a rush.

"I'm not late!" she insists before Tidale can say anything.

... and then she trips over something, landing face first.

"... ... ow..."

Yes, the shield was gone... but Nerine still had plenty of magic reserves. She swept her hand to the side as the crows came at her, causing a powerful shockwave to suddenly erupt from her position to fling the crows away.

Tidale watched as Nerine did away with the Neverpawns so quickly. Neverpawns were products of the Black Fog, creatures made purely from Nevermoore's siphoned energy. It really was true... This world was making Nevermoore's magic much weaker than it really was. For now, there goes any hopes and dreams of conquering this world. But, whatever.

"You're not half bad! Guess this world hasn't done much to YOUR magical abilities there," Tidale said, though... he was never really pleased when he actually resorted to complimenting somebody. The Neverpawns put themselves back together. For some reason, they weren't able to regenerate themselves like the raven above Tidale. Still, mindlessly, they swooped in, ready to swing once again.

M-maybe we should have somebody step in and interrupt?

Nerine was charging up another attack as Tidale created more Neverpawns.

"I'm better than half bad! I'm the best!"

Well, there was probably ONE other person in her world that had better magic potential... there was no reason to bring her up, though.

Either way, she threw out another magical blast... which suddenly erupted into multiple beams. The first few attempted to punch through the neverpawns, while the others zero'd in on Tidale.

"You should give up while you have the chance!"

Ffff, maybe. The whole park's prolly kinda destroyed at this point.

Another direct hit. The barrier was hit yet again... Little by little, it was starting to weaken. If it happen to completely crack, Nevermoore's magic would disappear for the night. That was the limitation of living in a world where Nevermoore has not spread his magic power enough. Tidale raised his hands into the air, summoning a column of Black Fog to protect him from the beams. But like the raven's wings, it simply phased through, albeit weakening them some. "Best!? Not likely... Not likely, not likely, not likely! See... It seems that Nevermoore's not feeling all that strong in this world. I can barely hear his squawking voice... But nevertheless, I'm still capable of THIS much!" Tidale cried, pointing at Nerine. Yet again, the raven summoned a ball of dark energy, but... Rather than sending it hurling at Nerine, he intentionally aimed for the ground... Columns of Black Fog erupted randomly from beneath the park and up to surface.

Both combatants would probably be surprised as vines suddenly burst out from the ground beneath them, wrapping around their legs and moving upwards to constrain them entirely. While the binding wasn't particularly tight of restrictive, the vines hummed with magical energy that would make them difficult to break free of.

"Stop, stop. I think that's quite enough, isn't it?" Ai said, as she clapped her hands together from where she had been spectating.

"That was very impressive on both sides, but don't you feel bad for the poor park if this continues on?"

"M-mom...!" Nerine whined.

Though, truth be told, maybe she was a little relieved for the interruption. She wasn't sure how much further this Tidale was going to escalate things.

"Fffff...ine," Tidale said, as his barrier was surrounded by vines. It really would be trouble if another magic-user joined the party. This whole night was meant for two things: the first, seeing how weak his power has gotten in this world and second, to show off. Both of these tasks have been completed. The barrier around him disappeared near instantly and the Black Fog seeped back into the earth. "Guess it WOULD be trouble if mommy entered the fight, guahahaha~ ah well, oh well... You're pretty good, really,"

"W-well... you're not bad yourself," Nerine grudgingly admitted.

She almost wanted to say something to the effect that she would've won anyway, but a glance towards her mom and she didn't say anything else.
