Things running through my head while I can't sleep:

Both forensics and medicine are fields that will cost a bit to get into. However, both also always have a high demand and pay well.

I don't know how long an education in forensics is, but the typical education for most parts of the medical field is 8 years (4 in college, 4 in medical school).

I think the real deciding factor should be in your preferences for the environments where you'll be working. Both have paperwork and red tape all over. A major difference is that medicine almost inherently means dealing with people other than co-workers on a near-constant basis.
