But that's what we do. We play on words. Always have, always will. The terror alert means nothing. Does anyone even know it's there anymore?

Hey, what about yellow journalism? Is that elevated?

I disagree with the "calling it a war is just silly" comment, thought. I mean, we are fighting a war. We have weapons and we are going after those who we feel threaten us. War, in many ways, is just an extended period of hostility between two groups. And hey, that group Terror over there is hostile, and so are we. We being the United States, and in many cases those we call "Afraid."

Fear and Terror will always be at odds. They'll always war. And as long as we're warring, that means we're doing something about "them."

It's good marketing.

LOL I've never seen Fahrenheit 9/11. At least I don't think so. Maybe I did see it. Hmmm.. I did see Michael Moore in East Lansing. We snuck in vodka in some pop. That's about all I remember. Maybe I need to take some memory pills or drink less.

I should say that I agree with tighter security and doing more to root out terrorists. I just don't like it when the government uses fear to compel people. Now, if the government sold anti-terrorism with sex appeal....

Uh, I saw Farenheit 9/11 with you and your dad, and I think your brother (this is Mike).

You know, if you're that compelled to complain about things, how about trying to change them? There are plenty of political commentary blogs out there, but no one really DOES anything.

What you are calling complaining is voicing dissent which is something. I do try to change things by using my vote and making sure that other people are educated about important political issues so that their votes create change. Conversation is the grassroots of change. Silence is complacency.
