Whew. Ok, fans - putting together Ariel's dresses was really hard. I wish I were kidding. There are 19 dresses per princess and I use the designs and colors to match the corresponding tiara, necklace, and/or purse.
With Ariel's dresses - it went from everything matching to nothing matching. I tried so many different combinations it started driving me crazy. I ended up saving 27 final dress combinations from 19 dresses. I was frustrated, y'all.
The good news is I'm done and ready to move on (to Jasmine!). I've posted all 27 dresses on my
Flickr account, which are also in higher resolutions. If you have any suggestions for any of the dresses without accessories, feel free to tell me what you see!
On a final note: I realized some of you might also want to save your dresses (duh) and so next I'll post a tutorial of how I go about it.
And now: Arr-ee- el!! Notice the wave- and seaweed-inspired gowns in strict blue/green/purple/pink color combos! Not a lot of wardrobe variation, there, Ariel.
Someone needs to save me from myself: I love this dress.
It's so unapologetically orange! And butterfly themed! With a seashell purse?!
Seaweed: Ariel accessorizes with it. Part of her mermaid upbringing, I suppose.
Gaw-geous!
Actually one of my favorites: Ariel with hibiscus flowers.
Overdressed much?
Three pieces of jewelry that matched! And yet did not match any of the dresses!
Some princesses have gardens. Ariel gardens THE OCEAN.
I particularly like this dress - it looks like a nightgown!
Wow. I just. Wow. Love. Nothing but love.
