Belle and Beast Limited Edition Set

I know there was recently a Gaston and Belle limited edition set, and also a Gaston/Belle/Beast limited edition set. However, a few weeks ago I found a Belle and Beast limited edition set available on disneystore.com for $700, Sold Out already. I had seen advertising on the Disney's the Buzz, for the Gaston/Belle and the Gaston/Belle/Beast sets,

The "ballroom" limited edition doll set did come out of nowhere. There was a blurry photo of the set circulating Tumblr in late August - that's when I first found out about it. The Disney Limited Edition Facebook Group was a good resource by providing links when the LE dolls would go on sale online, as well as publish rumors for upcoming dolls. They had discovered the ballroom set from a Disney Store UK ad for the upcoming Beauty and the Beast LE dolls on August 25 (link), then a better photo on September 01 (link). The rumor was the dolls would go on sale the same night as the Gaston/Belle Fairytale Designer Heroes & Villains went on sale in the US, which turned out to be true (link).

A surprise LE 500 is sneaky of the Disney Store. They really feed into the rumormill and panic of the LE doll craze in a way that drives up the secondhand market and makes their fans miserable.
