How to configure and use the Windows 7 native FTP client ("program")

As usual, this was not completely intuitive, but it's still a pinch easier than it was in Windows XP. Oddly, I couldn't find any tutorial on this, but I was able to figure it out. (On XP, it was so hidden, I couldn't do this without outside help; it turned out that you have to explicitly turn on the ability to add network locations, and later ( Read more... )

FileZilla is, by orders of magnitude, easier. And it's free!

The only complex part was in figuring out how to configure it. Doing so is easy the first time after reading the above, and trivial after that. And using it is even trivial-ier. ;-)
