The Mickey Angle
Boy meets girl. Girl is already involved with someone. Boy calls the someone an idiot. (As mature people do.)
Mickey certainly added an extra complication when it came to Rose and the Doctor. Quite often Rose is blasted for being horrible to Mickey. Is this fair? Partially fair? Not at all? And what about the Doctor - is he also guilty of being bad to Mickey? How about Mickey himself? Any bad behavior there or is he innocent in all of this?
What if the Doctor never met Rose - would Rose and Mickey gone on to happily ever after? How about if there'd been no Mickey - would something have happened sooner between the Doctor and Rose?
A not-so-subtle staging of the romantic triangle, and the Doctor coming between Rose and Mickey.
(Bonus question: did Mickey and Martha initially bond from bitching about the Doctor and Rose? Or is that just my cracktastic wish?)
