According to The Writer's Tale, at one point the plan was for Ten II to come into being at the same time that Ten regenerated into Eleven. Do you think things would have gone more smoothly if that had happened? Would fandom have been more willing to accept Ten II as another Doctor rather than a cheap imitation, or would that have made things worse? How about for Rose? Would it have made things easier or more difficult for her?
