steven said i get to post about crazy discount lady this time. she came in again today. she still couldn't figure out how to use the fucking 20% off coupons. so she comes immediately to customer service and walks up to joe who has yet to deal with her, but upon seeing kiro over to the side told joe "oh, he can help me," and completely ignored him! lol joe was confused as he did not recognize her as our special crazy discount lady, but he will now. so she asks kiro to help her with the discount survey thing online, so as there were a lot of us in customer service today, kiro took her up to the computer department to borrow one of the computers to fill out the survey. so according to kiro, who was gone for like 20 minutes, she had NO IDEA how to use a computer. wtf? she is probably around age 50 or so. so kiro basically had to hold her hand through the ENTIRE survey since she had no idea what she was doing. when that was finally done he told to her to go to one of the cashiers to get rung up since customer service was fucking sick of her (clearly he didn't put it that way, but that was why). the mean thing about this is that it is currently rush when all gazillion students come in and buy their textbooks so the lines are really fucking long. so anyway a bit later i go to help direct the sheep, *ahem* people in line to the various free cashiers since it was a long chaotic line. crazy discount lady had tried to get rung up at one reg, realized she wanted something else, left her shit and was gone for like ten minutes, came back and barged back into line! the fucking nerve of this woman! so anyway by then i had been called over to the cashier area to sort out an issue since my passwords have manager status. i'm over there messing with things when she comes up to the cashier next to me with like fifty postcards and a whole lot of other shit. now the special thing about postcards is that none of the skus work, so we have to ring them from a sheet of skus, and they can't have multiple quantities entered unless you've got manager status. so i helped the poor guy with multiple quantity, and then she realized she had too many postcards so i had to fix it again (all while trying to fix an issue on a different reg) and finally i thought we were done. i head over to the customer service area again, problems solved feeling good about myself. i tell the others about what SHE had been up to. steven says he will now refuse to ring her up, ever. so joe pulls his drawer to count out, kiro goes on break and i have no reg. this is all within 5min of this woman's purchase. steven and i see her walking up to customer service, and oh shit look passes between us. she wants to return the postcards cause she has realized she already has them and doesn't need them. FOR FUCKS SAKE LADY I ALREADY FIDDLED AROUND WITH YOUR POSTCARDS A BUNCH AND IT TOOK YOU THIS LONG TO REALIZE YOU DIDN'T NEED THEM???? anyhow steven had to eat his words and HAD to return them for her as he was the only customer service person with a till and not on break. fucking ridiculous. to top off our day, kiro and i had to deal with 8 million little middle school tourists come through after half the cashiers had gone home or were on break. it was fun in the sense that i spent most of it imagining i had a bunch of rabid dogs that i had let loose on the little shits. we also had to announce that we were closed TWICE. what part of 'we are closed' do some people not get? you can't keep fucking shopping! i know it's raining i know you don't want to go back out in the cold but for god's sake we want to get home to our nice warm houses! well today was the last day for those stupid 20% off coupons. now we can just tell people they are expired. oh, and don't even get me started about how incompetent the textbook department was today. i love some of the people down there but for fucks sake will they just follow the fucking rules and/or tell us what the rules are? and left over from yesterday, please textbooks people DO NOT yell at me in front of the customers, especially when you're wrong and i'm right. i think there will be an all out war of customer service vs. textbooks one of these days with scott defecting to customer service. GAHHHH!!!!
p.s. look steven i made you a tag!!!!!!
