Tonight mathia finished coloring a cover to On Hire. Yay! ;-D He also promised to draw even more On Hire illustrations. I am so absolutely thrilled about it! I can’t wait to see them.

Congratulations to you and to Mathia!
From what I've seen in the sketches, the colored version must be astounding. I can't check for myself - company's policy does not accept browsing yaoi sites at work. Can't figure why. ;-P
More reasons to come home quickly and start squeaking, too.
Then you'll receive a proper, descriptive, half-a-page SQUEAK. Would you like one for each of the pictures? :-D

As for long way to the middle of "Godeaters" - don't worry. It's only a half of the way you've done already. What's this for you?

If you have any opinions about Saniika's works, sure, go ahead. ;-)

Yes, exactly, one sixth. And not so long ago I was celebrating that I have one sixth translated - which was *so much* then. Now, 44 pages is much. The problem is that between one sixth and one fifth for example the way is short. The closer to the middle, the longer the way between those stops becomes. It really gets frustrating. So now I guess I'll cerebrate two fifths. ;-P

Two fifth is 40%. You should definitely celebrate it. :) Or go back to counting by chapters.

Mathia's cover is gorgeous, as usual. Lovely colour work. Saniika's pictures are also beautiful. What a lovely Christmas present!

Have to laugh at your tally of pages. I've scribed a bit more but the plotting hasn't quite set me aflame just yet. If a story doesn't grip me when I'm writing it, I don't expect it will appeal to anyone else. However, by getting the storyline down first, I can attack it from different angles later.

I'm glad you like the new pics. ;-) Both Mathia and Saniika are really great.

About the page count... yes, you're right about the story's appeal. That's my general rule too - rely on inspiration. However, sticking to one story for so long, it's hard for me to stir myself into a real inspiration. Luckily, inspiration usually comes once I sit down and force myself to start writing. If it doesn't, it's a bad sign. And yes, since I have the plotline made up and know what scenes are supposed to be in a chapter, I usually sit and ask myself: what scene do you want to write today? That would be attacking the story from different angles, I guess.

Notifying people about the progress of the story is one of the main purposes of this LJ. Thus the count. At least they don't e-mail me asking: how long? At least I don't walk around, thinking: not long, not long, but how am I supposed to tell you that? I can't send a general e-mail.

Raoul's expression is utterly charming: he looks like a naughty, greedy boy ;-P
Yeah, doesn't he? Mathia was afraid that with this smirk he'll look too evil. For me it's exactly what you said - this greedy boyishness, not too evil at all.
I'm glad you like the cover. Mathia is the best. ;-)

For me that's exactly the expression I imagined that Raoul wore when Katze complimented him on how he'd make a good bully. ;-)
Please, congratulate Mathia his mastering of the new colouring technique. THough you probably already did.
Heh, I looked more carefully now, and you're right: Iason in Saniika picture examines two rings. I'm quite glad I hadn't noticed it before - it would have spoilt great part of my delight. And thus I looked at it with purely artististic approach, and appreciated the author's talent as she deserves it. Now I can only bemoan the unnecessary fluff. ;-)
But still, the lineart is graceful and the colouring is subtle. I wonder what other fadoms does she attend?

I don't remember her other fandoms, but there surely are some - she has quite a lot of works. If it were HP, SW, LoTR or some other fandoms we at least recognize well, I'd definitely remember, so it must be something different. You can check her, I found her on DA, as Saniika of course. ;-) (Actually Sirielle found her.)

Just dropping by to tell you how much I ADORED On Hire and Delivery, you managed to hit every single thing I wanted from an AnK fic, Raoul and Katze that wasn't overblown angst or absurdly waffy love-match. I love that you struck a balance, slowed down how they came together and never forgot the huge influences that Iason and Riki were in their lives. The best part I have to say was the sex, more so because it wasn't immediately PERFECT and satisfying because it felt more realistic that it wasn't. More so, developing the physical aspect of their relationship in this way doesn't cheapen the bright, gravity-like attraction Iason and Riki felt for each other ( ... )

You can't imagine how incredibly happy I was to read this comment! I always love reading On Hire/Delivery reviews and unexpected ones, from the 'new' people are the best. ;-) Not to mention that your really emphasized thing that are important to me. Like consistency of the plot, like presenting the world - building it up, etc. And you're namely the third person who mentioned the 'unperfect sex' as the fic's virtue. ;-)
As for paragraphing, that's the matter of my personal taste. I did it on purpose, because I like when a story's text looks like in a book, and in a book you don't double space. But I'm glad that you have *such* complaint, really. ;D And I'm glad it's not a big problem.
So thank you very very much for your comment.
