I’m worried about losing friends over this election. So many people, myself included, have really strong feelings about it, which is why I think Sarah Palin (well, John McCain by picking her as his running mate) is dividing, not unifying, the country. I'm afraid I offended someone not with my Palin rant today, but with something I didn't even think of.

However, you continue to rant and rave and be a lunatic. I'll be reading every last beautiful word.

I have no problem with someone writing whatever they want on a blog. In theory, that's supposed to be read by a wide audience. But Facebook statuses are exclusive to friends, so everyone is either already pro or anti the person being attacked. It does nothing but rile up the parties from either side.

Statuses such as "NAME wishes Sarah Palin was stuck in an avalanche," or "NAME thinks Obama is a disgrace to America" or nothing more than personal attacks, and it really just annoys me.

I'd much rather had an objection to specific issues, much like the recent Daily Show clip which pointed out the hypocrites on Fox News.
