I had a pretty awesome weekend. Friday night the three of us (Tess, Mike, and I) went to the ninth floor of their dorm for a birthday party of a fellow foreigner. Not much time left to type but I'll give you the highlights.
1. Purchased a digital camera, trying to figure out a way to post pics. Any suggestions?

Cold and rainy. After a week of fairly decent weather it turned to crap today. We went on a river boat tour today but couldn't really see much. We were on the boat for three hours. Today and tomorrow Moscow celebrates its 846 birthday. The entire Red Square and surrounding roads are blocked off and everyone has to go through metal detectors to get through. The Scorpions are playing tonight, so yeah that's cool. Not. But what do I know I'm an American. We went to the Kremlin today and toured all the churches. It was ok ( Read more... )

Yesterday I received one of the best presents ever. Toilet Seats!!! They were installed yesterday and they're great. But then this morning we had no running water, so I guess if it's not one thing then its another. Tess's grandparents came into Moscow on Thursday and have been awesome. Today Tess and I walked alot, I mean ALOT. We went into a store called House of Books. It was pretty sweet. Books are so cheap here. I bought Gary Potter (Russians can't pronounce their H's so its Gary) and I bought a book for 1st graders. I'm hoping to finish that by the time I leave. I finally made it to Moscow after the worst travel experience ever. Overnight delays, lost luggage, you name it and it probably happened to me. But I made it to the school and was able to get into my room. Since I didnt have any luggage, I felt pretty nasty because I had been wearing the same clothes for 3 days in a row.
