Today I finally finished the actual closet. If I come across the shoe hanger thing (probably in the basement), I might want to use that. I did also find that I have more balls of yarn than I thought. Someday I will have to take that up again. I did not get as far as sorting through jewelry or clearing off the top of one of my dressers. Maybe ( Read more... )

I got about 5 boxes for Goodwill during my declutter yesterday! I'm going in for round 2 this afternoon. My goal is to have a carload before we head out to drop it off! It's a good time!

Yea!
I'm lucky in that Arc is happening to be in the neighborhood this week. Then we don't have to run around finding a drop off point.
I do also have a box started for potential ebay/yard sale. Which may actually just end up being a waste of space if I don't get around to doing either.

I keep thinking about doing a yard sale and getting rid of all Naya's outgrown clothes-- but then I'm not sure because I don't know what's happening in the future with the whole adoption/fostering thing. Then I keep thinking, what are the chances that we will ever have a kiddo who's the same season/gender vs how much work it is moving storing ALL that stuff. What do you think?

My issue is what to do with the pregnant clothes. If Rich is so adamant about not having more kids I don't really want to continue to store them... With the clothes Alice grows out of we are sort of waiting for someone to have a first girl-child.

I'm not real sure how fostering works, like if you sign up for a certain gender or age? Or you just get handed whatever kid needs help? Because then it might make sense to hang on to a few things in each size/season. Or maybe to keep the more unisex type styles. So I guess I'm voting against just getting rid of everything.
