Secondly, I'm so sorry about your grandpa. My grandma passed away from Alzheimer's when I was 11. Those were really tough times. My thoughts are with you and your family <3

Don't really know where I'm going with this, but I completely get you. It's really one of my deepest fears that it's going to get genetically handed to my parents, and I'll have to go through the same process my mom did. It's terrifying that memories are nothing more than chemicals, and a few changes can erase a connection with someone forever. Just...chills me to contemplate it all.

Me too! Ryan and I have a pact. Washington state actually has a 'death with dignity' law, but my grandparents are both religious and wouldn't take that option. But for me, there's a point at which it's no longer worth living and I want to have some volition, you know?
