I love this song. It hits me hard, because of my grandpa's struggle with Alzheimer's.

Little bit of lyrics:

Woman: There's an old voice in my head that's holding me back
Man:       Well tell her that I miss our little talks
Woman: Soon it will all be over and buried with our past
Man:       We used to play outside when we were young

First of all, love the music, esp the rainbow Balrog at the end. XP

Secondly, I'm so sorry about your grandpa. My grandma passed away from Alzheimer's when I was 11. Those were really tough times. My thoughts are with you and your family <3

ty. My paternal grandfather died 2 months ago from complications with Alzheimer's and now my maternal grandpa has been diagnosed. It's tough to watch.

Yeah, it's much worse than whatever shit like The Notebook makes it seem. I wasn't ever very close to my maternal grandmother, but it hit my mom so hard, and after my grandma died my grandpa was never the same. He just kind of lost any joy in life. He actually died on the four year anniversary of her death.

Don't really know where I'm going with this, but I completely get you. It's really one of my deepest fears that it's going to get genetically handed to my parents, and I'll have to go through the same process my mom did. It's terrifying that memories are nothing more than chemicals, and a few changes can erase a connection with someone forever. Just...chills me to contemplate it all.

Me too! Ryan and I have a pact. Washington state actually has a 'death with dignity' law, but my grandparents are both religious and wouldn't take that option. But for me, there's a point at which it's no longer worth living and I want to have some volition, you know?

The music is fantastic and the video is goddamn awe inspiring! Thank you so much for posting this!!

And I'm also sorry about your grandpa. I can see how this song is a beautiful personal memorial.
