My heart goes out to Thistle.....

Well I have not posted in long time. Quite a bit has been going on and I had meant to update as I just got back into town yesterday from a great little vacation. Though my thoughts have gone to one particular moment in my life, so all else will have to wait ( Read more... )

christ im sorry to hear it. animals can be so special to us. i still think about my cat everyday and wont ever get another one to replace him.

Thank you Brandon. You can never replace anyone, because there is no other. They will always be in our memories and our hearts and a part of us. I lost my cat Skie last year to cancer and thought I would never have another but I did get another cat because though I could never replace Skie, I did find in my heart to have another because I knew he would want me to. I think about Skie all the time as well. Thistle will as well remain in my thoughts and heart.

Yes pets really do become members of the family, and it is exceptionaly hard to loose a family member.. I'm sorry...

Yes pets are a part of our lives every day. They do become a part of the family. Thistle was a part of my family for 22 years, which for a cat is quite amazing. She would sleep with my parents every night inbetween them. She would lay on there laps every night before they went to bed.

im sorry.
In the past year up to moving to Seattle, we lost three of our dogs.
Each was rough, but our oldest (Rossi) was the worst... we had had her since I was like 10.
I made sure not to be home when they had her put down. I know I woulda lost it.

It is amazing how much animals can be a part of our lives and how much they contribute to our own happiness. The last couple days have bene pretty sireal in thinking about all the memories with her.
