you impress me with the things you manage to get out of those episodes. very interesting! (more than the episode itself for me)

I'm not sure that Kate is over the triangle. but I can hope, right? Sawyer has had such an interesting character arc. he broke my heart yesterday, even if I am of the gang that was not invested in the Sawyer/Juliet. HE was though, and it showed yesterday.

I started on this last night, then my eyes crashed and I couldn't see to type and I had a paragraph and a half done so I thought it would be safe to leave the tab open overnight but it wasn't, and my comment got eaten. BAH!

The LISTS, yes, I noticed that too. Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley are always on them. WHY? What does the island want from those four?

As for Sayid, I think that Smokey needs a body to live in, and maybe Christian's and Yemi's and whoever else he's vacationed in get stale. So maybe they're testing Sayid to see if he's a candidate for Smokey, in which case they HAVE to get rid of him because, when Kate was talking to her escorts, it was made clear that the temple is the one place that Smokey can't enter.

The one who has lost a lot of his self-righteousness and gained some humility, but is still a bit of an overdramatic martyr? That feels like Jack again to me.ILU! You said it perfectly. Overdramatic martyr, heh. Yeah, that's our old Jack. As I said in another thread, he's getting his Jackitude back, ( ... )

IS IT SNOWING IN MISSISSIPPI?!

We absolutely have to do pilgrimage. I keep telling my boyfriend I want him to take me, but he's so over it. There's only one house he wants to see, but it's rarely on the tour (White Arches? White Acres? IDK, White something). I would love to go ghost hunting with you. ♥

2. I did find something different in Kate, because I found myself not hating her so much (except when she cried at Sawyer's words, because I'd have hit her then). But I don't know if it's done on purpose, feels more like a slightly different writing to me.

4. You know, I've never stopped loving Jack, even when I recognize that he did a lot of stupid things. But this time there was something 'better' about him - like the fact that his plan of swallowing the pill only put himself at risk, therefore he won't feel responsible for everything that will go wrong - and I think you described this difference perfectly. A little more humility but still feeling responsible for everyone. And the scenes with Sayid were really great.

5. - I love that Sawyer utters a line that might've come out as total melodrama -- "Some of us are meant to be alone" -- but I totally bought it because Josh is totally selling it. I totally agree with this and with what you say about Sawyer's character development and the importance of his relationship with Juliet. ( ... )

Good post, I agree with most of it.

I personally believe more in Suliet now that Sawyer's admitted he only wanted her because he didn't want to be alone, and his tears were because he felt guilty at causing her death. Still think it was stupid that he'd want to marry the woman with whom he had such a bad history, but, eh, she's dead, and I'm over it.

Yay Kate for walking away from the triangle (and I really feel she has). Now hopefully if she builds anything up again with either man, she'll be a better and more mature person about it. But it is nice to see she still doesn't do as she's told by the men. Ha.
