timestamp meme

Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.I might ramble at you, storyteller-like, or I might write ( Read more... )

"Don't Stop"! "Education"! That one time that you wrote Lee/Leoben!

Also, hi! Been awhile! I like exclamation points right now.

EDIT: I could actually complete the request, couldn't I? The aftermath of any of these.

I'm imagining them sort of bumming around Ray's house that week between the holidays, playing music and video games and ordering a lot of takeout and eating terrible food (hot pockets, frozen pizza, etc) and not much caring about how they look, just about being together. Bob says he doesn't want to go out for New Years and Ray agrees, but they both sort of secretly want to do something to mark the occasion, even if it's not some cliched bullshit party or dinner or something. But they don't say anything, just keep floating along like they have been--never leaving each other's side, spending whole mornings in bed rolling around naked ( ... )

*claps*

Yup, that's exactly right. Boys being domestic and non-communicative as only boys can be. \o/Ray freaks out and cleans! Bob freaks out and smokes! *gleeface* I'm particularly fond of this: Bob thinks they're both morons because, obviously, boyfriends, Toro Hehehe. It's pretty easy to see Bob's expression there. :) Fireworks are a great tradition too.

This extension of the holidays makes me terribly happy. Thank you!

Ooh, that's a tough one. (In general, this is tough. Even though it's my story, I feel like the only knowable parts are the ones that were written. For everything else, any smart reader's guess is as good as mine. :) )

I imagine not much has changed in James's life, and in fact in some ways his life might've changed only for the worse. He's got these feelings, things he can't ignore or shut out anymore, but I suspect he doesn't know how to pursue anything, mainly because he still doesn't quite know what he wants. It was probably easier when all his doubts and questions were shadowy and nebulous, rather than the new certainties he has. But I hope those are certainties, and they do change him--and through him other people, maybe, at least on a small scale ( ... )

I'm terribly sorry that it took me so long to get back to you. Bad days and all that, not much of an excuse ( ... )

The reservation has changed. It's less a thrown-together, half wild thing and more a sort of depressing fact of life. They stay for a long time, I think, but maybe by this point Kara's feeling confined. The question is: where in the gods' names would they go? Leoben will go wherever she leads, and theoretically she's really good at running, but the unitedstates is not like the sky. They don't want to go to the Colonial state, which is even worse than the reservation. They'd try going off the grid, but she thinks she's getting too godsdamned old to always be fighting and running, especially if she's only doing it because she doesn't know anything else. She begins to question what it is that she does know. I would imagine Leoben finds a way to show her, and it probably involves forcing her back into painting, helping her revise her notion of what this earth is through seeing it differently. She'll decide the reservation maybe isn't so bad. And then... Well, then they probably head for the hills anyway, because there's so ( ... )

Dark and yet somehow freeing. Just like the original fic was. Thank you so much for indulging me!
