diversions from data entry: diet coke is of the devil

So, I've been doing weight watchers in an attempt to get me to pay attention to what I eat, not particuarly an attempt to lose weight, although that would be okay, too. I've done it before and it helped get me in line, but this time it's done little but finally break me of the habit of soda with calories. I started with Coke Zero and moved on to ( Read more... )

Yep, regular soda is way too sweet! If I'm at some crazy local place that brews its own birch beer or has really good Italian sodas (this happens, at most, once or twice a year), I'll allow myself the treat, but otherwise I go with my maxim that if something contains calories, it should have nutritional value to go with them. (Well, tea technically has calories, but, first, only about 4 per cup, and second, it's tea ( ... )

Second, it's interesting to hear your take on food. I go with my maxim that if something contains calories, it should have nutritional value to go with them. That sounds like a good outlook ( ... )

I used to make fun of my mother's caffiene free diet coke. I called it Why Bother? And now it's come to this...
