I believe, at the time, there was some rumbling about Sawyer being a con man who can read people well, so how could he lose at poker? Maybe it was only from a few people, but it stuck in my mind for some reason. I think alliecat8 wrote a fic centered around the idea, too. But me, I think that, yes, Jack beat Sawyer fair and square.

3. Random, but--what happens with Jack and Sawyer and the motorcycle after "Speed"?

Well, the way I see it, Sawyer's trick of getting Jack to take him along so he'll be careful works for a while, until Jack catches on. At that point, Sawyer just sort of directly takes the bike out when Jack isn't around so that Jack can't ride it, and ends up getting himself into a minor accident. He's not horribly hurt, but Jack gets rid of the thing on the spot, because, as established in the fic, he kind of has a death wish, but he can't risk Sawyer getting hurt ever again. And he kind of figures that Sawyer'd get back on that bike, if not just out of

Hehe! I, too, love this, and I think I shall do, well, ALMOST all of them. Because I am a little greedy, and a little bored, and happy to see everyone back. It's both :)

1. Picspam... I can never get enough HIC/Desmond, you know that =) And outside of him, that Ewan one you gave was good too! And I can always use more. Always.

2.Who tops?: OK, I'm going het! Desmond/Penny. I'd love to hear how you think things go down...literally or figuratively ;) If het doesn't feel like your speed, Desmond/man-of-your-choice.

4. What are you proud of? Well, 2007 was my first year writing fic in any form (at least in this format--I had done short fiction before, but not based off existing characters!), so really, I'm kind of proud of all of it. Most of it is up at lostsquee, so, um, I'd love to hear if you had a favorite of any of them. I love your work so much that I'd love to hear if you had any further thoughts on any of mine.

I'm also proud that I made it through 3 semesters of grad school, but now there are comps coming up, and I'm terrified.

I'd like to know what happens next after your Ron/Draco fic (besides Ron topping, that is ;)) Which, dammit, I seem to have misplaced, so I don't recall the title. I was sure I had it tagged on my delicious page. :(

Wanna know a secret? Okay, I *just* saw Sweeney Todd (like an hour ago) and that movie made me realize that there is *nothing* they can do to Johnny Depp to make him unattractive to me. And if creepy makeup, showers of blood and the singing of Broadway tunes didn't do it, I must conclude that it's impossible to do.

After "Seeing"? Sounds like you have immediately covered, so I'll go longer term: They live happily ever after. Or at least they snark to their hearts' content. Seriously, I think Ron ends up moving in (he's allowed approximately 1/8 of the closet space) and much fun is made of how to break the news to the Weasleys and to *gulp* Hermione, who rather threatens to disembowel Draco if he breaks Ron's heart. You know, after she gets through with the being confused and the asking Ron if he's gone completely 'round the bend. I think Draco successfully convinces Ron that he's a top, but Draco is probably the one calling all the shots in most aspects of their relationship, and Ron doesn't mind that at all. ;) Most importantly, I think they've both decided to stop being so fucking complacent, so even if Draco doesn't get his Mysteries job, he at least doesn't try to blend into the woodwork anymore

Good question. :)

I really think the two of them are heading toward a serious committed relationship, but they've both got a lot of shit to sort out. I think maybe Sayid moves to California, but he doesn't move in with Jack. He needs to figure out what to do with his life first, figure out who he is. I think they begin a relationship pretty fast, though, and consequently fight a whole fucking lot, with yelling and screaming, even. More bad days than good, because they're scared. They don't ever break it off, though, because they're both too stubborn. The source of the fights, eventually: Jack wants Sayid to move in, but Sayid keeps balking. Eventually, something breaks the stalemate and Sayid moves in and they stop being so damn silly and afraid. And they live happily ever after. :)

That sounds excellent. It also sounds like the kind of thing that in the hands of many writers, would become overwrought and tedious, but that you in particular would be able to keep properly balanced/paced and consistently engaging... Bad form, but I have to ask: any chance you're thinking of writing it?

Sadly, that's the kind of fic I just can't do. I can't handle the angst, especially if it's a long story. I kind of find myself avoiding writing it until I finally just abandon it. :\
