There's an awful lot of history and depth to the characters in this au and it's wonderful to be able to read all that, and read about a time and place I have no hope of truly understanding. I think you're doing a stellar job with the fic and I'm in two minds about the last part - eager to see it, and at the same time unhappy that it's almost ending!
I love this story so much. I was beyond excited to see more of it pop up. It's so well written and so deep. This part is absolutely dripping with atmosphere and sense of place, from descriptions like the gorgeous one of the stoplights, all the way down into the hearts of the characters here. It is absolutely amazing.
I loved this. Your James is really a thinker, even he is not willing to think about certain aspects of his life and personality. And I'm sure I've already told you, but the atmosphere is incredible. The stillness of the night, the hushed voices, the smoke drifting around... It's like being there. So good.
Oh God, I hate it when comments get eaten. Stupid LJ.
Thank you so much for your feedback here! You're always so fantastic at showing me exactly what you see as you read my stories, and that's of tremendous benefit to me because it lets me know what's coming across. Plus, it's just a joy to read your thoughts, too--so articulate and kind. :)
Here from lost_fic_awards, and I'm so thankful for that community, so I can find gems like this one. I'm usually not one for Sawyer/Jack fics, but this is amazing. It's so well crafted and the characterizations, especially Sawyer's, are just spot on.
I'm really hoping there indeed will be a part 4 - mind if I friend for the ease of reading more of your writing?
Thanks so much, especially since J/S isn't usually your thing. Part four is in the works; for some reason, this story is sometimes hard for me to write, so I have to wait for the mental energy and the creative wavelength to do it. But I'm working on it as we speak.
I don't mind at all if you friend me. Fair warning: you never know what pairing or fandom I'll be up to at any given moment. But with Lost coming back, I hope my Lost muse will too. :)

I'm already looking forward to the next part.

Thanks so much for your feedback! I hope I don't drag out writing this next part quite so long...
