Apparently no fandom's immune to nicknames, but some fandoms are worse than others, and some fandom names are worse than others. So worse they deserve to be taken out back and shot.

(This rant in no way pisses on your pairing, just your pairing's name, if it has one of these.)

To be fair, I can't substantiate that anyone uses Hotbuck, or even writes the pairing. (It's the equivalent of me writing like, I don't know, Sawyer/Paolo or something.)

I admit that, for Lost namesmushes, I voted for Jawyer and Jawercita because they are the ones I see more often, and I really don't like them. But some names are really incredible - and not in a good sense!

I quite like the various Jate/Jacket/Skate (even if I don't like the pairings!), and I fondly remember the "foxshy" times.
Namesmushes seem so childish... Fandom is a serious thing... ;)
