Whew! Thank God those top few buttons on Desmond's shirt are missing, thus making it hang open ALL THE TIME!

And, I agree, he was way too cute meeting Penny. I loved all the smiling.

Did you see the picture on head monk guy's desk of him (I think) and crazy-white-haired lady of knowledge from Desmond's last flashback?

Hurley is right: the Flash would totally kick Superman's ass in a foot race.

And, out of all the English words that Jin has managed to learn, he knows "walkie talkie?" WTF?

Jin also knows "rescue." And "Who's Penny?" I think he's moving beyond memorizing words to perhaps understanding a bit of what people are saying. Maybe. I just wish they'd stop throwing poor Daniel Dae Kim in as comic relief rather than give him a real story. How many times can he be dragged along on one of Hurley and Charlie's Excellent Adventures as the "guy who doesn't understand them" before he gets a real storyline again?

Ah, the return of the half-on, half-off blue shirt. :)

I didn't see that it was the white-haired lady. Hmm... *ponders*

Isn't the random girl falling from the sky part of the Portuguese crew that Penny hired to find him?

And I still say..DESMOND AND PENNY, she is the key to finding him.

You're probably right on the Portuguese crew. I don't pay enough damn attention except to what color Desmond's wearing and how his accent sounds. :)

Ah, Desmond and Penny. *sighs* You're probably right on that too.

hit...it's a hit. And since I had to come back to fix that little typo, I will say that girl in tree was sent to rescue him, thus the pic. And yeah, Jewelry Store Lady was in pic with Monk, so he was one of those anti-Course Corrector people. Des and Sawyer were both looking better than ever tonight... And guys playing ping pong are particularly appealing... Bye now!

Yeah, yeah, I know she's the girl coming to rescue him, but I wanna know who she is, if he knows her or if she just recognizes him from the picture. I don't wanna wait. *pouts*

I didn't notice jewelry store lady until my sister pointed it out. So was the monk trying to make sure he met Penny (which is why the sudden "firing"), or just trying to get him into the world to go on his epic journey?

Despite my Desmond squeeing, I was no immune to the charms of our boys playing ping pong. And being...mature?

Can I vote? D/P would be just about the only het fic I'd read. Their relationship gives me faith in epic love. Desmond makes me swoon, partly because he's gorgeous and has that accent, and partly because he commits himself so completely to high ideals. That makes him vulnerable to being let down, as he was with the monks, but it also makes him an optimist, and it makes me hope fervently that everything will work out for him in the end. I will help you shield him and keep him safe. :)

Yeah, I think I'm gonna go with flirty little D/P bunnies. There's so little canon to play with on them, but maybe that'll make it easier rather than harder. (I mean, I've never been too afraid to have my conjectures blown out of the water.)

Vulernable and optimistic? Makes him an odd duck among our losties. Perhaps that's why I want to have my way with him love and cuddle and shield him.

Firty D/P! Flirty D/P!!

I didn't know either! About it being a Des ep. I was pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, it's looking like it'll be D/P. That's smarter anyway, since nobody around these parts wants to touch Desmond/Charlie with a ten foot pole.

*scratches head* Do I even remember how to write het?
