Two more bright spots:

Back dimples!

Sawyer gave up the diamonds and showed genuine emotion at the loss of someone - even if he didn't know who she was.

Do I have to say Sawyer shirtless gave good back dimples?

Rodrigo's midsection is always a hightlight.

And I said the same thing, she slaps Sawyer but sunshine Charlie gets away without a scratch. Yeah, I'm pissed about that.

So I'd've rather Nikki been a motherfucking stripper. But since she's not, I'm glad she's dead.

So...our shared boyfriend was pretty! And...our shared boyfriend was pretty! What the fuck ever, I am so done with giving Lost actual thought. My moderately crappy show about two brothers breaking out of prison is kicking its ass when it comes to gender issues and giving me every bit as much pretty. I can't even appreciate that Sawyer was given real growth here, I'm so furious about the fucking way that women are written on this show. I'm not even asking for appreciable equality at this point, I am asking for one single woman who is good for the sake of being good and is given the same depth and attention that the men are given. I am so sick of feeling like I'm flailing out in the ocean for asking that.

Is it wrong to say I'm glad you're just as angry as I am, and just as ranty? (I saw your post but am too flaily to properly concentrate right now.) At least we're not alone.

But GOD, wasn't Desmond hot! Whatever nondescript color that was he was wearing made him fucking glow or something. *amends 'bright spots'*

You know it's bad when the story makes me forgot how hot my boy was!

No, you're not. The fact that I'm so far beyond wanting actual equality here, 'cause I know that it's never going to happen, and just want one female character that I can love and squee over and whose hair I can brush is sad. The characterization of the men on the island is incredible; how is it so hard to write women in the same way? I almost hope that we never see Penelope again, because she's resplendent and she'll be wrecked if the writers are allowed anywhere near her for any extended period of time.

Guh, the gray/blue against all of that tan. I was pulled out of rage several times to mourn the sad lack of licking that was happening in the hollow of his throat.

So Sun doesn't punch Charlie for doing the actual kidnapping.

Grrrrrr. I know we are supposed to be knocked over the head with the fact that Sawyer is the island outcast, and all the other Losties are fed up and not going to take anymore, but he did NOT force Charlie to do anything. He gave Charlie and idea, and Charlie being an adult with the power of choice, chose to hurt Sun. I know Sawyers a good con man and all, but come on....

He deserved a big ole ass whoppin.

The rest of what you wrote is pretty damn eye opening. I gave up trying to rationalize Lost or treat it as the intelligent, complex show that it once was. I watched it to pass the time, and I was midly entertained. You ran down all the reasons why I should hate it, but I am at the point now where I don't even care. Lost jumped the shark along time ago for me.

So everyone's so blase about death now they treat it like an episode of CSI. How nice.LMAO. Well Lost is opposite CSI - NY, which beat Lost in the ratings last week, so.... But I agree about the blase attitude ( ... )
