One of the many things I've been up to since going on a short-term internet/LJ detox (I can't REALLY give it up and why would I want to?) is that I've been gardening -- square foot gardening. I'm hooked on growing things!
I have missed you so! Your garden is beautiful, and I am happy about your new addiction. Sorry the TV audience did not get to see the creative artist behind the movement. But your work spoke for you.
I'm doing some container gardening this year, my first attempt at gardening ever, and it has been very rewarding so far. But *this* (points up) is more than amazing, it's inspirational!
Thank you!! And guess what? This is my first real attempt gardening too! (Other than flowers in a window box or helping my mom.)
What kind of yummy things are you growing? I just snack on a few peas that I picked from my garden this morning, and I can't wait for my baby bush beans to get a little bigger!
Tomato, bell pepper, cucumber, basil, oregano, rosemary, mint (for Mojitos!) and I have some squash in a containter that is probably too small, and the ants are all over it, but it makes a nice screen for the neighbors.
There was a bit of landscaping up against the house that I cleaned out and I planted a sunflower garden, with the tallest variety in the back and dwarf sunflowers in the front. They are just beginning to peek out of the ground, so cute!
Love the garden! you put our tomato and strawberry pots to shame! If i had a yard area I would do more. That's why a big backyard is on the wishlist for moving! enjoy the wonderful goodies from your hard work!

Would you mind if I linked to the news piece on my own LJ? *smooch*

And thank you again for all of your garden help and company on Monday. The plants are looking so much better after having been thinned.
