I don't want to alarm anyone, but I got a job offer on Friday. I discussed benefits with the company on Monday. I accepted the offer and gave my two weeks notice yesterday. Last day here is July 2, first day there is July 9.

Thanks!!! Yeah, it's with the medical journal in Columbia. Seven minute commute and a 9a-5p or 8a-4p schedule. I don't think my system can take it!

I'll be a copy editor for the Journal of Biochemistry--a weekly medical journal. It's not carbeques and overturned tractor trailers, but it's a job much more conducive to maintaining normal human being hours!

Good for you! And just a heads up, there is this giant ball of fire you will see in the sky. This is what us daywalkers call the sun. It is responsible for life on this planet.

Thanks! And LOL! I'm sure when I step into the light on my first day of work, my face will melt off like that guy who looked at the Ark in Indiana Jones. ;-)

Thanks! The commute was one of the biggest draws of this job. That and not having to pay $85 to park in Silver Spring anymore. :-P

Woo! Think of all the rollerskating you'll be able to get in with that extra time. (Or, if you were me, all that lying around on the couch.)

There will be some couch lounging, I'm not gonna lie. I've got four years of primetime television series to catch up on!
