This phrase, "I'm nose over tail for you," like "Head over feet" has always confused me. It's supposed to have some sort of connotation of falling.

But if your nose is over your tail or your head is over your feet... aren't you standing upright?

Notice the whole 'stanza' in the song.

"Like a plane crash that never hits the ground" probably means it's not actually crashing.

Nose over tail implies an ascent. I wonder if it's just poor lyric-writing, or some clever witticism that I'm not 100% grasping.
