Everybody, and I do mean everybody, saws that AT&T Park, the waterfront home of the San Francisco Giants, is one of the best parks in baseball. Basically every rating of the parks that I've ever seen puts AT&T in the top 3 at worst. My sister went there and said it was gorgeous ( Read more... )

Dodger Stadium holds more people than any other MLB stadium (3000 more than Rogers Centre), and indeed more than any other baseball stadium in the world. Angels Stadium is actually located in Anaheim, which is why the team's name is officially the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The practical impact is that if you are coming from Los Angeles proper you will inevitably have to drive through several hours of traffic to reach the ballpark. Exactly ten years and a day after my one visit to Turner Field, I returned to Atlanta to see a game at the newly opened suburban home of the Braves, SunTrust Park. The 2016 season was really bad for Oakland. They won only one more game than 2015, suffered tons of injuries and finished in last place for the second year in the row. Lets just say that lots of rookies were called up from the minors earlier than expected. Ouch. Thankfully, many of those rookies looked quite good, so 2017 gives me some hope. It's ( Read more... )
