Due to the ongoing pandemic, baseball its fullest short season on record, with no fans in the stands until the latest rounds of the playoffs, when a very few were allowed in with extensive distancing protocols. In 2019, I went to 11 Cleveland Indians games, all at Progressive Field. This included the home opener, 9 of my 10 season tickets (the tenth went to a friend due to scheduling issues), and one walk up ticket. I didn't get to use the Pirates charity tickets my parents got me as a gift due to very tight availability.

I made it to twelve Cleveland Indians games this year. I was at Game 5 of the ALDS back on October 11. After Didi Gregorius of all people hit his second home run off Cy Young winner Corey Kluber to essentially clinch it for the Yankees, I kicked the seat hard enough that I momentarily thought I had broken my big toe. The 2016 season was really bad for Oakland. They won only one more game than 2015, suffered tons of injuries and finished in last place for the second year in the row. Lets just say that lots of rookies were called up from the minors earlier than expected. Ouch. Thankfully, many of those rookies looked quite good, so 2017 gives me some hope. It's ( Read more... )
