We're 2 years and 3 months into the pandemic, and 17 months into Birdie's birth, and those combined factors both weigh heavily on the mid-year review.
This year I've read 56 books, broken down as follows:
- 14 normal adult books.
- 1 graphic novel
- 41 children's books. This is a lot lower than
last year's mid-year total only because the rate of acquisition has slowed down substantially.
- I've still been to zero concerts.
- I've seen four movies, all streaming.
- I've finished nine television series, although for two of those I was nearly done when we entered January and finished them shortly after.
- Written 176 LJ posts, including this one. The first 175 ran from January 1 to June 24 consecutively, and when my streak ended I'd done 300 in a row. Just the 176 makes 2022 my
third best year ever for LJ posts even if I don't write another one in 2022. I expect I'll find a more sustainable pace going forward.
The books and movies were padded by one of each today, which is what happens on vacation!
