You Are What You Eat: October 14 through October 19

M was gone the last three days of this post, which led to my total left over meals rising by 20%.

Monday, October 14 - At M's request, I made my mother's chili recipe for the third time this year. We also had a instant corn bread packet from somewhere, so I made that to. I guess I'll count that as another recipe even if it was a kit.

Tuesday, October 15 - Apparently this was the first time all year that I had made Tomato Soup with Orzo & Basil, which I originally found from Eating Well's website. It's still pretty darn good, although a definite step behind the Creamy Tomato Soup with Tortellini I made back in August. It made lots of tasty leftovers though.

M grilled up some grilled cheese sandwiches to complement the soup. They were tasty!

Wednesday, October 16 - The October 2019 Eating Well offered up the Crispy Gnocchi Pasta with Tomatoes & Leeks. This was fast, tasty and didn't make enough for leftovers. I'll make it again.

Thursday, October 17 - Had I ever had Jimmy John's before? I honestly don't remember, but we had it for lunch at work on Thursday. It was fine.

With M gone and plenty of tomato soup leftover, I ate that for dinner in lieu of cooking.

Friday, October 18 - M's not big on pasta, so I took her absence as an opportunity to make the Linguine with Creamy Mushroom Sauce from the October 2019 Eating Well. It made a lot. I liked it, but it probably didn't stand out enough for me to make it again.

Saturday, October 19 - I took my aunt out for lunch at a newish place in Chagrin Falls called Aurelia. The lunch menu had limited options, most of which I couldn't eat. I ended up with a breakfast sandwich, which was nothing particularly special.

After lunch we went next door to Heartwood Coffee and had tea and cookies for dessert. They were good cookies.

I still had pasta left over, so I had that for dinner.
