So far this year I've seen 8 concerts, which is only 2 short of all of 2009. Things are definitely looking up. Even better, I spent a mere $20 to see those 8 concerts, and 7 of those 8 were headliners I had never seen before. In fact, of those 7, 4 were bands I hadn't even heard of prior to 2010. Saw the Charlie Haden documentary at CIFF. He has an un-effing-believable ouvre, on the strength of having performed with (and usually cut an album or two with) just about everybody who is (or was) anybody in the Jazz world. Way worth seeing if you have even the slightest interest in the genre.

And the Crash Test Dummies are still touring? I may actually have to drag my butt out to see that one...
