Thank God there's not doubt about that. The bottom!Jared and Sam community is so much smaller than bottom!Jensen and Dean, sadly! *clings to you*

So far, so good. My brother pulled out the memory chip things and reseated them. Then, we downloaded the latest windows service pack and that seems to be working. My brother did order me some better memory chips (more gig, so will be faster) and told me to just leave the laptop on all the time and let it go into standby mode when I'm not using it, but not to let the drivers shut down. Seems to be working, so yay. :)
