Awesome. This is similar to when I ask people to "let go". It's not a permanent thing, but a small period time, even a split second, in which there can be clarity of mind before dealing with what needs to be processed.

Yeah, I got the same advice from a young kid in my depression group. It does work and Shane, "let go" works too. Today is my son's 5th wedding anniversary. I wasn't at the wedding (his dad and my bio-mom were), and I was notified by my son through an e-mail about a month after the event took place. I've never seen a photo of my daughter-in-law. Haven't heard my son's voice in over 8 years. But I sent an e-mail to them today, and now I'm letting go and looking up.

Sometimes, we have to stop focusing on ourselves and our problems and see that a lot of other people are in the same boat.

Just this week I've lent out $2 in coins for people to make 'emergency phone calls'. It made me feel a little better. There was a time when I couldn't have helped them if I tried.
