It is just, well, relationships don't really work for her. She is a woman who has to be in a relationship 110%....every moment, every second...she has to be consumed by it. If not, she isn't in it at all. There is no middle ground...there is no 'just being with someone', and letting that someone be themselves.
Slow and careful are not in her vocabulary.
I feel like I have been slowly walking a mine field to get close to her...and it has taken this long because if I had tried anything else, she would have bolted and run.
