I really enjoyed this. It's great to see a serious Baltar vid, and you managed to not only make it dramatic and tragic, but also unexpectedly creepy. I like the pace that you set in the vid; I felt the end picked up speed really well to highlight the upswing in tempo of the song. Very cool vid, thank you for sharing it.

Nice job pulling out the more tragic aspects of Gaius storyline. I really enjoy the absurdity that surrounds him, but you pulled off a serious look at him that felt very natural and inclusive. I also really enjoyed how you handled the changes in tempo, both in the beginning and the end. And I adored in particular how you used that shot of him and the Centurion being flung away by the explosion. :D

Thank you! It's quite amazing how a tragic figure like Baltar can also be the comic relief of the show. The comedic aspect was absent in season 2 and 3 but I like how it subtly came back in season 4.

Glad you like the Centurion shot! Took me forever to get the timing right (for a fraction of a second!) Glad it was worth it!

I'm so glad you posted this! I had seen it on YouTube last week and wondered why you hadn't posted here. I like it. It's a bit slow but the pace sort of lets the . . . heaviness of some of the things Baltar has done sink in. But it's also about him trying to make amends too. Very interesting.

Thank you!! Takes me a little while to post my vid to my journal because I'm outsourcing the graphic making. jellyfrog has been doing my vid graphics for years... it's a tradition. :)

I tried not to get too flashy in this vid - really wanted to focus on the character study instead. Substance over style, if you like. Thanks for commenting!

And yes! I *will* be doing a Gaeta vid. It's a little tricky because for a guy that's been on the show for four seasons, there's not a lot of good vidding clips for him. I had a song in mind but it might not be appropriate after what happened in season four. :( However, falafel_musings just gave me a great song suggestion. Could work!

AH! I'm not sure what I can say b/c I didn't really read the comments but I got the general gist of it. I just wanted to say this was a really amazing video. I liked how you have it synced and the colors and everything....ALL awesome
I'm re-watching BSG with a bit of a Baltar slant and you really used scenes that were important to his character from the beginning. It seemed to have a lot of thought put into it and the song choice was also perfect.

Thanks so much! I really tried to select the clips that would show the terrible things he's done as well as his guilt. I don't think he's a 'bad' person but it seems his mistakes & weaknesses always ends up with disproportionate and terrible consequences. An amazing and fascinating character to watch.
