(Leoben leaves the following note for Kara, right where she'll see it first thing in the morning. He's nowhere to be found.)
Kara,
You woke up again screaming last night. I was awake, so I went to see if you were all right. My apologies--if I'd heard what you were yelling, I would have known what you were dreaming about. I would have sent Sam to see if you were all right instead of me.
I washed the knife and put it back in the cabinet. You can put it back under your bed if you want. You were half-asleep, so you just nicked my shoulder.
I saved you some breakfast, it's in the icebox to keep cold. You may want to pick up more ice if you're out today, we're running low.
I'll be back later.
