Teensy nitpick: "Nor characters not acting as they would not"
Double negatives are not uncommon in Latin poetry, but never forget not to count how many negatives you have to ensure that you don't come out positive. ;)
Ah, Catullus. Mrs Thorpe spent three years telling us how cute Catullus's poem about the sparrow was, and then we read it this year in IV-V, everyone's brain EXPLODED!!
