This was perfect! Oh dear. I think you have ruined me for this genre though as I love your version of John so much! Actually this is only like the 5th fic from this show I've read. I've got to find more!

That was actually the other option in the original prompt: adoption or marriage. But there were already so many marriage fics and I thought the force-adoption bit was hilarious.
