Which means they are pretty much all (apart from the stairs, which are awesome) things I would never even consider having because they would either damage the books or just no hold enough. It pretty much sums up what I don't like about modern design: it's mostly impractical. I

YAY BOOKS BY COLOUR!!

Things being in colour order is the most correct way for them to be ordered.

It's a pretty way, but not useful if you want to find books and have a bad memory for covers..

I love the staircase shelves. Colour-coded books also pleases me greatly, although I can see it's not entirely practical ...

I've seen the staircase bookshelf before and it looks ace! The photo makes it look really steep though so I can imagine falling down it and crashing into that door...

My bookcase is next to the window so my books get bleached with the sun. My ceilings are too low to move it anywhere else though :(
