so i went to the new vets and i think i really like it. it is a little more expensive then my old one but it is a 5 minute drive away as opposed to 45 minute. my poor girl was not pleased having her beak ground down and made her displeasure known to the whole neighbourhood. she was a-ok with her nails and wings which was good (and strange

If I had an elkie I would probably file that beak down too.

Do they really file it down so its not as sharp? My Senegal has a ferocious beak too.

he didnt really make it less sharp. he ground down the upper corners and shortened it a bit. he also ground some of the lower beak too. then he polished up the surface of it so now her beak is so black and shiney! i am never worried about getting bitten by her since she has never tried to hurt me. poor girl hates the vet tho.... so do i...... avian vets are expensive!
