In the 18+ scene, I'd probably reccommend Dom n Roland and Calyx at Heat, should be good if you're into Drum n Bass, there's going to be an all ages one, but no details on that one yet. Reality is, most ravers actually don't care about NYE, hence the lack of any decent gigs (oh plus being stuck in perth) and just sleep for Sun Electric (Sunshine People last year). Personally, raving on a hot summers day just isn't my thing though (but like my opinion counts when it'll probably sell out).

well, Mal will be looking for a good hardcore/happy hardcore rave to go to, he's not the biggest fan of DnB (although i am!)... i think he's gonna try and go right on thru to Sun Electrix too. Raving on a hot summer day isnt really my big thing either, although i AM going to try and make it to Summadayze this year...

The only rave that would play happy hardcore on NYE would be the all ages event which nobody has any real details about, since it's his birthday, I presume he'd most likely be dragging you along to that.
