"I'm not actually registered to vote and honestly I don't see the point since I don't get a say in any important issues such as whether or not we should have nuclear power, instead the only thing we get a say in is whether or not my clock is moved an hour or not

If you had young kids you'd understand how important the debate is to your and their sanity when they're grumpy and sleep deprived all summer.

Oh I don't hate people like yourself who had good reasons for making their decision, however there were definitely quite a few people (generally the no side) who would generally spiel on about a decision that barely had an effect on certain people, compared to much bigger debates which had a much huger effect on them but were less hyped or talked up about.

As I said in the above comment, I'm not personally against any particular person/people or comments for the no side in particular, it was as you pointed out yourself, there were far more important and interesting issues that really should have been given more thought and priority over it. ^^
