I've finally managed to figure out what was happening in my head about Luke. I realised, after a lot of thought, that I do love him, and very much so. I was simply getting cold feet over the whole "engagement" thing and well, everytime I begin to question in my head the feelings I have for him, he does something that makes me fall in love with him all over again. Keep the faith Craig, love is not hard to find, you simply have to let it in...holding yourself back will only stunt the personal growth. xo :D
I'm glad you've figured out the whole deal with Luke, it certainly does explain a lot because Luke isn't perfect (and neither is anyone for that matter) but he sure does a hell of a lot for you and not necessarily just at the start to attract you but he's maintained it over such a long period of time. Whether he really is the one, you're really the only one who knows but honestly I think you shouldn't go anywhere near marriage for a while until you have a lot less doubts and feel very happy to completely settle things down and realise he is your forever, rather then just your now or near future.
As I've said in the post, I'm definitely open, I'm not 'holding myself back' as such, I'm just a bit more cautious and taking my time before committing, in the case with Holly, I dated someone who was literally the opposite who I thought she was.
Having said this, I am actually currently heavily considering and quite likely to go out with a certain person in the near future though. ^^
