I remember an interview with Jackie Chan when he was asked if he ever got scared to do his stunts. yayy! you can join me on my mission to kill apathy =)
apathy in regards to many things.. but possibly the most dangerous sort is that in regards to politics n such. i find a good way to stop ppl being apathetic is the good ol shock tactic. however people are becoming so immune to that because of TV etc. it's only when people are REALLY effected, ie, their money, living conditions, food, etc are damaged that behaviour will change. apathy/laziness is a popular passtime.. its not cool to stand out cos your doing something.

in regards to everyday apathy.. the key is feeling empowered to change your life to something better.. that it IS possible, but you have to take responsibility for you own life/actions/consequences.
to refuse to sink into that complacency where its so easy to keep on doing the same old.
even if your angry at everything, at society, people, whatever. its probably better than being apathetic because at least it will motivate you to DO something.
/ end rant. lol =)
