Little Cat Update

Just heard from the vet. Little cat is out of surgery and recovering comfortably (they said it took a fair amount of anaesthesia to put her under-not surprising considering how frightened she was).

Turns out she wasn't pregnant. Her little bulging belly and swaybacked walk really had us fooled. She did have roundworms. She tested negative

She'll be so dopy when you pick her up that she likely won't even notice. She'll also likely not be in a jumping mood for a few days.

Oooh--if she's really doped up, maybe she'll let me put her on my lap and hold her.

Very unlikely--the spousal unit has been very (VERY) tolerant and understanding about the whole thing, but he still really doesn't want a second cat.

Now that she's spayed we'll start the hunt for an adoptive home in earnest.

Say--YOU'VE just moved to a new place. You could use a cat. It's not home without a cat.

She's still there, though, isn't she? :)

This reminds me of how I ended up with MY rotten beast of a cat (feral, took her in 'just for a few days' almost six years ago).
