Question winterishere23 June 26 2011, 16:25:04 UTC
I'm trying your pattern of this and am writing it out in a form that I understand a little easier by putting the number of stitches completed in each round and everything works out on the head fine till you get to round 9. The last part where you have *dec, 1scx2* works out okay but you end up with two more sc's that need something done with them and you can complete it with the *dec, 1scx2*. There were 26 stitches completed in round 8 and what you have in round 9 only utilizes 24 of them and I was wondering what to do from there? Thank you

If you add a dec at the end of both round 9 and round 10 it all works out mathematically!!
8(Magic Ring),16,24,20,20,26,26,26,26,22,16,12,8 are the number of stitches need in all the rounds

Oh sorry I forgot to put that you repeat that until you run out of stitches... so for that round you would decrease in those last two sc's

I am making your Umbreon and I was wondering about the assembly of it. Which part of the body is the front and how is the head placed? I have looked at the photos of your adorable umbreon but I can't figure it out.
Thanks!

The front part of the body is what you crochet last... so when you are making the body, you essentially start with it's rear end ^^ ...also, with the head, you are crocheting the nose first, so the end of that crocheting will be attached to the body.

I'm not exactly sure how to explain it with words, for future patterns I'm going to include pictures with each part of the body and the assembly ^^;

Hi,

Love your pattern. I noticed for the end of row 15 for the hind legs, there are three unused stitches. Based on your comment above, would you do a (dec, sc) at the end such that the row totals 12 stitches?

Thanks!

Yes, you would continue repeating the stitches until you run out of stitches in the previous row. Sorry for the confusion! I'm not used to making patterns for other people to follow so I forget to mention the short hand methods I use. lol
