Alienated? NAAAAH! *Rolls eyes*

Okay, so I've been thinking about this one for a couple days now.

Sunday Night, Heather and I are sitting at our computers, doing our usual thing. 'cause that's what we do on Sunday Nights (and most other nights...we have many Dork Points accumulated). I'm updating the log pages for my WoD:NYC characters and chatting with some folks, when I hear ( Read more... )

rant, family, life, wtf, insanity, frustrated

*sighs softly* this isn't a comfort, i know. but....my mom still thinks i'm 'going through a phase' when it comes to religion. funny--i've been Pagan since high school. and i don't have children. luckily, my cousin (who does) has a smoker for a husband so they're not likely to tell me they'd rather i didn't get too close to the kids.
*wrinkles nose* i've not even bothered to inform mom of my bisexuality. if Paganism is a "phase", whatever in the world would she think about that?

Hey! Give my mom back! I admit she can be evil now and again, but I want her anyway!

Seriously, my mother - same deal. Being Pagan is a phase, and the one time I had resolved to tell her in the lead in to it she said that "I can respect gay people. But bisexual people...I think they'll just do anything for attention." Eight years later, I've still never told her, though I think she suspects.

And Ravyn, I stand by what I said. You are awesome, and you can play with my kids all you want. Just please...don't start giving them cigarettes and telling them tequila is a food group until they're at least 15...I have to maintain SOME standards.

:( Their loss, you and Heather are both so nice if I had kids you two would be the last people I told not to come fawn over them. Although I am not a baby fan either, that is a hurtful way of going about things.

Hope you both have a better holiday. :)

I'm sorry your family's being ridiculous. We need to all get together and have an "alternate lifestyles caberet".

*grins and applies hugs liberally*
