And yeah, I think I've fallen into Merlin/Arthur, too. I told myself that I wouldn't when I started watching, but it's so much fun...

And by that I mean, as a fan of Arthurian literature, will it give me an aneurysm? Bearing in mind that I did at one point read all of Mists of Avalon, in which everybody is cousins for no apparent reason.

I'd say so. I'm a huge fan of Arthurian myth as well and I also have read Mists of Avalon and Merlin is pretty darn good. Like, take it with a grain of salt because Merlin and Arthur are the same age and Guinevere is a servant or something but it's really well done. And it takes a while to get into the first episode (at least for me) so be patient.

Merlin/Arthur is TOTALLY CANON. It's hilarious.
I love all the characters. Except...Morgana kind of gets on my nerves.
