Oregon FAIL 1

I own Oregon Trail. You must have heard of that, computer game, pioneer simulation-y thing. Right. So I have a bit of an obsession with going in, naming all the characters after a certain fandom, and then playing it through, writing in the Diary in character. Incredibly geeky, I know. I've already done it once with the characters from Howl's Moving ( Read more... )

ten/rose, i am officially broken, doctor/sarah, fail, martha, donna, jack, doctor who, wasting time, angst, fandom has eaten my brain

Oh, man. I remember playing this way back in elementary school on computers. I think I had a more recent version of it from middle school too. What edition do you have? Is it up to like 1500 now? I feel really old.

Anyway. Oh, that's sad! I was so happy with the really amusing mentions of Martha, Jack, and Donna. And so happy Rose was with the Doctor. And mentions of Sarah (and Luke)!

It's sad, but logical that when Sarah died the Doctor found more reason not to tell Rose. And then to be proved right! :x

Lastly, OMG. You win. SO MUCH. Howl's Moving Castle=LOVE. Are you talking about the book or the movie? I love that book. You have no idea how much. Howl is awesome. So is Calcifer. And I LOVE Howl/Sophie. :]

I have the 5th edition--it's my brother's, actually. I remember the old version I played when in elementary school. I could never win. This new version has a bunch of random animated sections that play every so often and totally clash with the depression and dying.
I'm glad you found my ficcy bits amusing, though!
YAY HMC! The book, of course. The movie was pretty, and had good music, but I'm afraid it rather annoyed me otherwise. The HMC Oregon Trail trip I did...I was Howl and I took Sophie, Calcifer, Morgan, Michael and Martha. Martha was the first to die then Michael angsted around until he died. Then Calcifer, then Morgan. Howl and Sophie were the only two left alive to arrive in Oregon, and that was horrendously depressing. Especially when Morgan died. But it didn't hit me as hard as this trip did...
