Clark and Chloe: Apocalypse
Yay! I love soundtracks. Whether you ship them, or not, you have to admit that they have a great friendship. Too bad it was beat to hell by the writer's the last season or so. ;) I know I won't get to see Chlark on screen, in any romantic sort of way, but I'd love for the writer's to at least get their friendship back on track. *not holding my breath though*

I see this starting off with Clark and Chloe's strained relationship in Season 9. Then, lo and behold, ANOTHER apocalypse happens, shocker, I know, bringing them both back together.

01.) take it or leave it // the strokes (Clark's POV)
Leave me alone • I'm in control • I'm in control • And girls act too much
Season 9 Clark - I so see this song in his POV, he's all about control in this season. The Chlark relationship is really almost non-existant at this point. After Clark leaves Chloe while she is grieving over Jimmy. (Nice move btw! /sarcasm)

02.) last day of magic // the kills (Chloe's POV)
we're two parties, two parties ending • what if you move? what if you hide? • there's only so much you can miss • before we both collide
Season 9 Chloe - This song highlight the emotional trauma Chloe is going through. She really relied on Clark and expected him to be there for her.

03.) burning down the house // the used (Clark's POV)
watch out, you might get what you are after • cool babies, strange but not a stranger • I'm an ordinary guy • burning down the house
Holy Crap! omg!AmargeddonTime! This is the first foreshadowing of the rough time ahead. Clark is in saving mode full-time now, still distancing himself from everyone.

04.) day n night // kid cudi (Clark's POV)
day n night • I toss and turn, I keep stressin' my mind, my mind • I look for peace, but see I don't attain • what I need for keeps this silly game we play, we play
The weight of having to protect everyone 24/7 is taking it's toll on Clark. He's sad, scared and lonely. He's missing Chloe.

05.) the last day on earth // marilyn manson (Clark's POV)
yesterday was a million years ago • in all my past lives I played an asshole • now I've found you, it's almost too late • and this earth seems obliviating
The apocalypse is in full throttle now. This is Clark's apology, of sorts, to Chloe. He realizes the some things are too important to take for granted.

06.) gotta get through this // daniel bedingfield (Clark's POV)
if only I can get through this (3x's) • I gotta get through this (2x's) • I gotta make it, gotta make it, gotta make it through • I'm gonna get through this
This is Clark's fight song that ultimately leaves him knocked out under some form of kryptonite by the baddie. :D

07.) get free // the vines (Clark's POV)
I'm gonna get free (3x's) • ride into the sun • she never loved me (3x's) • why should anyone? • come here, come here, come here
This is the escape song. I believe that this usually ends with Chloe dragging/removing Clark from the source of kryptonite where the hero recovers. Yay!

08.) tonight and the rest of my life // nina gordon (Clark's POV)
down to earth I fell • with dripping wings • heavy things won't fly • and the sky might catch on fire
This is such a Clark song. I'd be surprised if it hasn't been used on a fanmix before this. :D This song alludes to Clark's inability to fly and the line, "tonight and the rest of my life" applies to Chlark.
